Organizations let a team share ownership of plugin and theme entries in the Obsidian Community directory. Members can edit the team's entries, and admins can also edit the organization's public profile and manage its members. ## Create an organization 1. Go to [community.obsidian.md](https://community.obsidian.md) and sign in with your Obsidian account. 2. In the sidebar, select **Organizations**. 3. Under **Create an organization**, fill out the form: - **Handle**: a unique identifier using lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens, for example `my-team`. This becomes the organization's public profile URL. - **Display name**: a human-friendly name for the organization. 4. Select **Create organization**. The organization now appears in the list under **Your organizations**, showing its handle and your role (**Admin**, since you created it). Select **Manage** next to it to edit its public profile or manage members, and you can select it as the **Owner** when submitting or editing a plugin or theme entry. ## Edit organization details 1. Go to [community.obsidian.md](https://community.obsidian.md) and sign in with your Obsidian account. 2. In the sidebar, select **Organizations**. 3. Select **Manage** next to the organization you want to edit. 4. Under **Public profile**, update any of the following fields: - **Username**: the organization's handle. These links are shown on all of the organization's plugin and theme pages. ## Public organization profile Select **View public profile** from the organization's **Manage** page to see how it appears to visitors. The public profile shows: - The organization's icon, **Name**, and handle. - **Elsewhere** links to the organization's **Website** and **Social accounts**, if set. - **Plugins** and **Themes** tabs, each showing a count, listing the entries owned by the organization. Each entry shows its icon, name, description, and [[Manage your plugin or theme#Credit a contributor|attributed contributors]]. ## Manage members Under **Manage** for an organization, the **Members** section lists everyone in the organization and their role. - To change a member's role, select the role dropdown next to their name, and choose **Admin** or **Member**. - To leave the organization, select **Leave** next to your name. ### Invite a member 1. Under **Invite a member**, enter the **Email address** of the person you want to invite. The email must match an existing account on community.obsidian.md, so ask them to sign in once first if they haven't already. 2. Select a **Role**: **Member** or **Admin**. 3. Select **Send invitation**. The invitation appears under **Pending invitations** until the person accepts it. ## Delete an organization You can't delete an organization that still owns any plugin or theme entries.
